Personal:

I'm a former rower, looking at getting into some other form of competition after "retirement" from my pastime of the previous four years. I'm dedicated, but a little held back by my formerly 215lb 6'7" frame.

4x2', w/ 1' walking in between intervals. Felt pretty good, no pain, still feeling confident about THE COMEBACK. One more time at 4x2' (Saturday) then upping to 5 x 2' on Monday. Going to probably leave at 10 minutes for next week, then go to 6x2' and 4x3' the week after.

The second run at 8x1'run/1' rest in my rehab cycle. Upping it to 10 on Thursday, and then moving it to 2' intervals on Monday. Will be up to 12' of running by the end of next week... this is the first time I've actually felt confident about building back up. VERY excited to get this through with, have a 5k "race" preliminarily scheduled for the end of January.

First blog in about two years. Had a triple novicular stress fracture last summer (2011), have tried 2 rehab stints that have ended badly. Logging thoughts seems like a good idea.

Upped reps from 6x1' walk/1' rest to 8'. Next week to 10. Hopefully up to 20' of consecutive running by the end of the year. Only good thing about this all is the opportunity to reinvent my running stride... no more clunking at 150 steps/minute for me!
