Personal:

I'm a former rower, looking at getting into some other form of competition after "retirement" from my pastime of the previous four years. I'm dedicated, but a little held back by my formerly 215lb 6'7" frame.

AM: Little loop at home; felt nice. Legs are getting better, despite the pain a couple days ago. Love the K-Onas, going to be my trainer of choice, if the Blades don't work themselves out. Going to do 40-50 minutes tonight, after a brutal bike trainer interval set. Dawg Dash on Sunday, thinking 10k, depending on how my legs hold up after today.

PM: Dreadmill, 5.25 in 40 minutes. Felt really, really good. Excited for the 10k on Sunday, though with no real speedwork, who knows how it'll go.

This new diet is doing great things for me... getting rid of most processed food, grains and dairy, and replacing with fruits, vegetables, and nuts, and rounding out with eggs and lean meats seems to be doing me good. I never feel hungry any more, which has been a serious problem for me (leading to almost eating disorder-like results). Lowering my caffeine intake, upping my sleep, and just generally being smarter about how I live my life is doing me good.
