| | Pseudo lapse on the dietary front, but it's been corrected. Digging the Blade Lights, though the toe box is a little smaller than on the K-Onas, which makes for some blisters, especially as I don't like wearing socks when I run. Oh well. Average pace was something like a 7:35, ran without a HRM, but it was aerobic, except for the last half mile, which I opened up a little. |

| | Green Lake run. Felt AWESOME, broke 50 for the first time ever, despite not pressing at all. |

| | Dreadmill, but it was almost too easy... feels like a switch turned on a couple days ago, and I'm just loving it. I've got that feeling back! |

| | Green Lake loop, felt pretty good again, though I gotta remember to ease back. The next month is all about mileage! Might go for an additional 2.5 easy shakeout tonight, for the sake of the mileage. 5k race tomorrow, excited, feel like I have a chance to break 18. |

Pumpkin Push 5k (3.15 Miles) 00:18:20, Place overall: 9 | | Warmed up with 1 mile easy, 5/6 striders, some drills, and another .75 miles easy, to get back to the starting line. Will write a full report later, but very happy with the race. Felt controlled going out in 5:36, but just wasn't ready for the enormous hill in the second mile, and haven't run enough faster stuff to have the will to push myself at the end after the hill took it out of me. For some perspective, I went through 1.5 in 8:20, feeling a world beater, and a half mile later, at the peak of the hill, I wanted to puke. Experience! As a C race, I'm absolutely thrilled with how I did, and look forward to doing more fast races after the Half Marathon. After I got home did 2.5 miles easy to round out the day. |
